Julius Caesar Essay: Reaching from the Grave -- Julius Caesar Essays

Coming to from the Grave of Julius Caesar   It is accepted that the title of a work ought to mirror the idea of its content. The title ought to identify with the to the focal impact which controls the progression of the work. Shakespeare's Julius Caesar appears to negate that show. Caesar meets his wicked end because of plotters in the principal scene of Act III, scarcely part of the way through the play. He isn't the awful saint; that differentiation lies with Brutus and Cassius, around whom the play rotates when the death. This exposition will show that although Caesar isn't the legend of this tragedy, he unquestionably is the title character.   Like the tempest in the main scene of The Tempest, Caesar's triumph over Pompey toward the start of Julius Caesar sets the activities of the plot into movement. The plebians and representatives become progressively isolated in their loyalties. In a period of fierce common war, the plebians feel they need a solitary solid ruler, for example, Caesar. The congresspersons, then again, dread that he may get aggressive and keep murdering off his opposition, i.e., the legislators themselves. At the festival of Caesar's triumph, Brutus comments, What implies this yelling? I do fear the individuals pick Caesar for their lord (I.ii.78-79). Cassius turns unpleasant towards Caesar, since he thinks Caesar is truly feeble, and merits none of the recognition that the open stacks upon him. Early on, Cassius questions Caesar, and turns out to be similarly as driven himself as he fears Caesar to be. Why, man, he doth straddle the limited world Like a Colossus, and we insignificant men Stroll under his enormous legs and peep about To get ourselves disreputable graves. Men sooner or later... ...craftsmanship powerful yet! Thy soul strolls abroad, and turns our blades in our own legitimate guts (V.iii.94-96). Scene v shows Brutus at long last surrendering and joining his kindred legislators in death, unfit to hold up under the melancholy of their misfortune nor the blame at slaughtering Caesar in any case. In this manner Caesar, however dead and truly gone, stays an amazing nearness during the time half of the play. The blame that he rouses in the schemers, and the retaliation he works up among the plebians, power the play to its deplorable decision. This is the main way that Julius Caesar can remain the title character, by keeping up a ground-breaking impact all through the play, regardless of whether in any condition. Shakespeare called the play Julius Caesar not on the grounds that Caesar is the heartbreaking legend, but since it is Caesar's desire, his ruin, and his essence after death which cause the catastrophe to happen.

He was hardly multiple feet tall†. He was not an attractive man. â€Å"His slanted little legs appeared to be too slender to even consider carrying the heaviness of his distorted chest and the protuberance that sat on his shoulders† yet he was anâ intelligent person who viably figured out how to trick Miss Amelia into speculation he was her real cousin. â€Å"The hunchback mixed among these assets and drew out an old photograph†. With the appearance of Cousin Lymon, Miss Amelia turns into the sweetheart, and he, the darling. â€Å"It is thus that a large portion of us would prefer to adore than be cherished. Nearly everybody needs to be the sweetheart. Furthermore, the abrupt truth is that, in a profound, mystery way, the condition of being darling is terrible to many. The adored feelings of dread and loathes the sweetheart, and with the best of reason†. Despite the fact that their relationship isn't physical or sexual, Miss Amelia has an undying need to deal with Lymon appearing to a more noteworthy degree the pathetic love going on here. Miss Amelia is by all accounts cherishing Cousin Lymon thinking he adores her back yet he adores her for all an inappropriate reasons. He just loves the reality she gives him all that he needs. Heâ doesn’t care about her which is the reason he winds up double-crossing her. The presence of Miss Amelia’s ex, Marvin Macy carries further exceptional feelings to the main character. Not exclusively are there hard emotions existent from their ten-day marriage, however unexpectedly with the appearance, Cousin Lymon no longer needs Miss Amelia. Things have changed, making Lymon the darling and Marvin the dearest. Miss Amelia is justifiably desirous and broken by the two men throughout her life done requiring her for anything. Following four years of being significant and required, she is nothing to them. She falls back on battling Marvin out of her desirous anger. As the battle arrived at the end, Amelia was winning. Until the man she had breast fed and cherished double-crossed her and battled for his dearest, Marvin. After the battle, Marvin and Lymon skip town, leaving her home and bistro wrecked. The hurt and selling out that stays behind is evident through the remainder of Miss Amelia’s story. â€Å"When anybody referenced the hunchback she would state just this: ‘Ho! In the event that I could lay hand on him I would tear out his gizzard and toss it to the feline! † Miss Amelia was a changed lady. She was a wrecked lady. She was broken by adoration. Her sweetheart, Marvin Macy, had left with her dearest, Cousin Lymon. She was distant from everyone else in her own reality, in her home, never to adore again. Chick Webb

In a type as broadly famous and persuasive as jazz, even probably the most very much regarded artists could become lost despite a general sense of vigilance as far as being a standard legend. This isn't a disclosure of an announcement all alone, as this was the story for some a performer. The reason could be just be a loss of eclipsing during the jazz/swing rage, not being appallingly inventive, or not having a series of hits. A portion of these causes even harassed the subject of this paper. Be that as it may, it was another factor that makes his story so fascinating, yet tragic. Not each craftsman could be scratched in legend, for example, figures like Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington, or have his music played all over like Benny Goodman. However, Chick Webb’s sway on both the music, culture and method with respect to the drums were and still are all around regarded in the jazz scene, in spite of a portion of the components that would keep him away from being an extraordina ry star. The narrative of Chick Webb needs in any case the factor that kept him down the most and is additionally the first to burden him. In spite of his contested birth date, Chick was conceived in Baltimore, Maryland to William H. furthermore, Marie Johnson Webb.William Henry Webb, his original name, was brought into the world with spinal tuberculosis, a condition that would adversely influence him his entire life and at last cost him his life. So how can one deal with this agony, not to mention become the best jazz drummer ever? First off, playing the drums originated from his primary care physician. The purpose was that the fast development of the appendages that is required by the drums would â€Å"loosen up† his hardened appendages and diminish the agony. With the intrigue of the instruments’ recreational and restorative clear, a youthful Webb would turn into a paper kid with the sole objective of setting aside up enough cash to purchase a drum set.Until at that point, Webb would agree to the base of toppled trash jars to spark his interest. By 11 years of age, Webb would have his drum set and by 17 years of age, he had moved to New York City to seek after his fantasy about being a player in the jazz capital of the world. Chick Webb started playing in New York night clubs when he showed up in 1924. Clubs, for example, the Paddock Club and the Black Bottom took him in, reference by as a matter of fact Duke Ellington, who right away perceived his ability. Ellington would turn into a significant figure in Webb’s life, both as a coach and an adversary, further down the line.Noting his prevailing ability and solid character, Ellington would urge Webb to shape and lead his own little band. Webb would do only that by shaping the Harlem Stoppers, a quintet that would proceed to gracefully the interest for swing music in the period known as the Harlem Renaissance. His aptitudes were uncommon, and thought about perfect to fuel the playful pac e of swing music and give a drive to the music that could once in a while be coordinated. Normally, this ability turned out to be immediately perceived everywhere throughout the city, prompting the development of the Harlem Stoppers, who might now be known as the Chick Webb Orchestra.Webb’s status as a fruitful artist was established when his band was chosen as the house band of the Savoy Ballroom, an unbelievable scene situated in Harlem. He would be the essence of the scene until his last years. Based exclusively off their own benefits, the Chick Webb Orchestra was a profoundly respected band. Be that as it may, what made the band amazing in its own privilege was their eagerness to acknowledge challengers in what was known as â€Å"cuttin’ sessions†, or skirmishes of the groups. Some great, yet common jazz groups endeavored to challenge the incomparable Chick Webb Orchestra, just to be extinguished of the ballroom. However, when then-â€Å"King of Swing† Benny Goodman and his band showed up to challenge Webb’s, Chick started to at long last get some praise from outside of New York. In New York, more than 9,000 individuals came to see this verifiable occasion, 5,000 of them remaining outside just to get the opportunity of perhaps hearing the grand conflict that was to occur. Also, whenever the open door emerged for Webb and his band to say something, they did as such in power. Performing first, Goodman’s symphony performed respectably the same number of anticipated from a unit of their stature. But when Webb’s team started, the result would get self-evident. With the thunder of the group Webb’s symphony, they would wind up blowing Benny Goodman’s band out of the assembly hall similarly as he did the various groups before him that tested him. His driving sounds frequently over-controlled different groups, playing into the hard swing of his symphony. Quality Krupa, an incredible drummer in his own pri vilege and drummer for Goodman’s band noticed that â€Å"Webb cut me to strips! † It was this second where Webb was delegated â€Å"King of Swing† and without a doubt â€Å"King of the Savoy†.Other incredible challengers, for example, Count Basie (who played Webb to a draw at any rate), Fletcher Henderson and Duke Ellington would test the guts of the Chick Webb Orchestra, yet none would reduce his status as one of the superior bandleaders and artists of the time. Like most well known muscians of the time, Webb started to record his work, starting in 1927. Be that as it may, his ground-breaking sound was hard to record neatly without muffling the full structure of the work. This constrained im to mitigate his sound and let the remainder of the music even out, conceivably diminishing his popularity. In any case, around and around inside the music business, Webb’s ability and impact didn't go unnoticed. When Decca Records framed in 1934, Webb marked t o the name and put his most on the map accounts, practically all of which highlighting Ella Fitzgerald as the artist. Webb at first debilitated the consideration of Fitzgerald as she didn't fit the picture of the run of the mill lead vocalist for a swing band. Be that as it may, when he heard her voice, she would turn into the lead vocalist for Chick Webb’s Orchestra. This expansion soar the vocations of both craftsman, changing Fitzgerald into a bonafide hotshot following the achievement of their top hit together, Fitzgeralds interpretation of â€Å"A-tisket, A-Tasket†. As the quintessential swing craftsman, Webb’s sound consolidated consummately with Fitzgerald, to such an extent that she got known as the â€Å"First Lady of Swing†. Lamentably, one could state the tremendous prevalence of Fitzgerald would regularly dominate Webb, particularly obvious on accounts. What aggravated it for Chick Webb, was the planning of his recently discovered fame. In 1938 , not very long after the moment achievement of â€Å"A-tisket, A-tasket†, Webb’s wellbeing started to fail.Webb had been playing through agony his whole vocation, frequently leaving the stage depleted. In any case, this time, his spinal condition turned out to be progressively genuine and confined him from playing to a standard that he regarded fit for his fans. Looking for alleviation, Webb would come back to Baltimore for a significant activity at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Tragically, Webb could never leave the medical clinic, passing on at only 34 years of age. Supposedly, his final words were to his mom, saying â€Å"I’m sorry, I’ve got the chance to go. † The regard the jazz scene had for Chick Webb was clear at his burial service, where the top artists of the opportunity all came to cover their respects. The overall population additionally came power, to such an extent that the congregation where the administrations were being held couldn't con tain them all, and the parade was made out of very nearly 80 vehicles. As one of only a handful scarcely any conspicuous drummer-drove swing groups, Webb’s sway is quite often downplayed. Be it since his absence of hit records as the frontman, an aftereffect of Ella Fitzgerald’s notoriety or the era’s powerlessness to appropriately record his ability, or his abbreviated life expectancy, Chick Webb has become a fairly overlooked name to the standard, notwithstanding his amazing status inside the jazz culture. But because of his persuasive style, and his fights against a portion of the more marquee names in jazz/swing, Chick Webb will never be overlooked. We could say that one of the first things to do is to define what for the team was made at all, what it is supposed to achieve, or in other words what the goals of the team building are.Generally, most of the companies want to structure their team building activities so it would meet the following goals:Team building should clarify what the company’s mission and vision actually is, so there wouldn’t be any confusion about that;Team building activities should help leaders to see which members of the team are more suitable for some specific roles, so they could assign their employees the specific roles and responsibilities according to their personal skills;Team building should provide a faster startup for the newly formed teams or teams that just got new leaders;Team building should work as a simple mechanism that can help team members resolve any personal conflicts they have, so they wouldn’t affect their future teamwork;Team building should teach people how to respect other people’s working styles and ideas, instead of limiting them to their own opinions. There are sev eral main aspects of the team building process, so let us get into each of them and explain them a bit more.THE STRUCTURE OF THE TEAM BUILDING PROCESSIt is very important to structure your team building activities in the right way because there are a lot of factors that depend on it.First of all, it is crucial that there aren’t either too many or too few people, so everyone could be able to express their own ideas equally. If the team had a lot of people, they wouldn’t be able to equally participate in the conversation, due to the time limit, and if the team is small, then the cycle of ideas could get shorter.Secondly, the team should have a sufficient amount of expert knowledge, so people would be able to give facts and solid evidence to support their ideas. If this is not the case, there could be a lot of arguments.Because of all these things, it is important to plan the team building structure very carefully, so all bits would fit in and help everyone who participates to learn new things and enjoy at the same time.Personal Traits of Each IndividualEvery person is different; some are more talkative, while some prefer to keep to themselves. It is very important to create such an environment so everyone could participate. In order to have a successful team building session, you would have to make sure that all of your team members are able to contribute in some way, whether it is sharing of new ideas or performing some basic tasks, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that every team member participates in certain tasks. That requires a bit of planning and preparation for the team building event itself, so make sure to think it through. The Location or EnvironmentNow, as much as it is important to have a good team composition, it is also important where you are going to organize a team building process.Depending on the nature of the team building process, location or the environment setup could often be very important. If the process is just about doing some ment al tasks and playing some games together, then it is important to have a very cozy and relaxed environment, so people could feel like they are at home. That way, they would be much more relaxed and when we are relaxed, we tend to use our brain much better. On the other hand, what you could do is organize some special activities for your entire teams, such as climbing, rafting, small trips to the countryside or just some plain and simple paintball or laser tag.Decision-Making ProcessThe very goal of the team building process is for team members to learn how to work together in a more effective and efficient way, so they are able to make decisions and resolve problems faster. In order for them to do that, they need to be able to make decisions together, which means that even if someone doesn’t think the idea is right, people who think some solution is good should have solid evidence and persuade other people why their solution is better.Ultimately, they need to agree on what to do in o rder to solve the problem. That can only happen if they listen to each other, so you will need to teach very hasty individuals how to value other people’s opinions and how to respect the decision that was made.WHY DO BUSINESSES USE TEAM BUILDINGAs we have already mentioned, when working in a team, it is very important that team is effective, which can only be achieved if people in that team are able to work together and make good decisions without having to argue about everything for a long time.In order for them to be able to do that, they need to know each other’s strengths and weaknesses, to know how each and every one of them thinks, so they could complement each other. And the great way to meet your teammates is to spend some time together with them, by doing certain activities, perform special tasks or simply play some games. Here you can see one very funny team building game, called ‘Snakes’. There are six main areas where the team building has a very important role to p lay, so let’s get into it.1. Resolving ProblemsWhen it comes to resolving some usual every-day problems, individuals tend to do much better than teams, but teams are much more important when it comes to dealing with some complex issues that need to be carefully approached. That’s why team building is crucial, so people could resolve those complex problems much easier and faster.2. Quality DecisionsAs you’ve probably figured it out by now, having a team working on some problems is also good because different people have different ideas, which may result in finding the best possible solution to the problem much easier, that it would’ve been possible if only one person had worked on resolving one particular issue.3. Accurate DecisionsThis is directly linked to the previous fact.If there are more people working on the same problem, there would be more space for spotting and judging the wrong ideas, than if there was only one person doing it, since it is not that easy to judge you rself.Sometimes we all need someone else who would look at the problem from a different perspective and help us reach more accurate decisions.4. Risk AversionWhen you are working with a group of capable people, your confidence rises and you tend to be more open to some great, but also risky opportunities that could benefit greatly to your team and the company itself.5. MoraleTeam building activities tend to boost up the morale of the team members, in which case they usually perform much better and work harder to achieve what the company needs them to achieve. It leads to fewer mistakes and higher effectiveness.6. Learning SpeedIt is much easier to learn new things if you are working with a group of people, who all share their own ideas and suggestions. That helps not just you as an individual, but also the company, because they would get a very capable team.THE MOST COMMON QUESTIONS AND PUZZLE ANSWERSNow that we defined what team building and team building games are and explained why they are so important, let us introduce you to some of the most common questions and puzzles for team building games. Some of them are very brainstorming and it requires a bit of thinking to resolve them, but after all, that is one of the points of these games, to help your employees think wider and improve their problem-solving capabilities.1. 4th May 2006Question: What is so special about the 4th May 2006, specifically 2 minutes and 3 seconds after 1 a.m.?Answer: This date and time are so special because it was the only day in a hundred years (both in the past and the future) when the time in the United Kingdom was pronounced as 01:02:03, 04.05.06.2. Innovation can be viewed as thinking differently and out of the box. It is all about coming up with new improvements, concepts, ideas, developments geared towards obtaining organizational strategic advantages (Howells 141). Some innovations are based on breakthroughs or radical while others are based on forms, ideas, process and composition that already exist. Sometimes people refer to innovation as new technology. However, innovation is nothing new, neither does it involve new technology. For instance, the self-service concept popularized by McDonald, was just a different way to run the restaurant as opposed to a technological breakthrough perception (Mumford 123).When it comes to technology it is a broad concept literature-wise. It can be viewed as the integration of human know-how, knowledge and information about management, equipment, marketing, as well as organization know-how. Within the current technologically advanced and globalized world, organizations with poor technology management or obsolete technology cannot perform well in this highly competitive global economy (Dodgson, Mark, Gann Salter 93). Organizations that have advanced technology but in a way lack the required capacity and knowledge and proficient technical skills and do have poor technology management are worthless. This is because it is not the technology per se that makes the profits but rather its management (Brockhoff, Klaus, Alok JuÃÅ'rgen 46). The paper intends to stimulate the exchange of new initiatives and ideas for the management of technology and innovation in organizations. This builds a need to study on how technology and innovation can be managed in bureaucratic and non-bureaucratic organization. This paper thus, outlines the importance of undertaking a study on managing technology and innovation in bureaucratic and non-bureaucratic organizations. This research proposal articulate the background or overview of the study, research focus, problem, questions, aim, methodology to be followed, data collection and analysis process, merit and contribution to science, literature review relevant to study and the research protocol.2.0 OVERVIEW OR BACKGROUNDTodayà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s dynamic environment demands for a change by all organizations both incrementally and radically. Where there is sustainable development there must have been innovation. It is crucial for any organization to change the services and products it offers including the way it operates (Whittaker Cole 182). As such an organization has to encourage experimentation, monitor the environment constantly, evaluate its own performance and become committed to improve its performance continuously. Managing innovation involves various aspects and is multifaceted (Martin, Michael Martin 59). A series of research which links innovation to an organizationà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s knowledge base highlights the significance of several critical factors that enable knowledge application and acquisition so as to promote innovation. Research has it that implicit knowledge can become managed indirectly through the management of various factors that contribute to the structure, culture, leadership and technology of an organization. In line w ith this series of research, the promotion of innovation can be achieved via the management of explicit and tacit knowledge embedded in such factors (Cameron, Kim, Dutton Quinn 79).Among these factors could be the fact that technology is changing continuously and has thus become a significant contributor to turbulent markets. Furthermore, technology as an asset that is intangible knowledge based increase innovation management potential. The policy of technology reflects on an organizationà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s innovative attitude including its commitment to the given innovation (Dauda 67). Even though technology can play a significant role in the innovation process of an organization, too much of it can end up stifling innovation through standardization of the existing processes and workflows. An organizationà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s long-term competitive position seem therefore depended on how organizations can prudently manage their bases of technological assets (Clegg, Stewart, Martin Harro 132).Firm s tend to differ as their competencies seem to be developed in different technologies. With regard to knowledge endowments asymmetries may provide the basis for heterogeneity in technology (Betz 68). In some other firms may as well differ in ways through which they deploy or exploit the acquired or available technology. In the current world, the management of innovation and technology seems considered to be among the most significant literature issues (Burgelman, Christensen Wheelwright 71). An organization can use technology and innovation to come up with a competitive advantage via the creation of barriers which deter rivalsà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ entry. Such advantage could as well be via the introduction of technology processes or novel products that attract fresh customers, or changing the competition rules within the industry. Innovation and technologyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s creation, development including application can clearly form the basis for an organizationà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s success (Pugh 237).3.0 RESEARCH FOCUS3.1 RESEARCH PROBLEMGrowth via innovations do not have to take place via break-through innovations. It rather involves ways that are innovative for the integration of developing or existing technologies into solutions that are of high value. Such innovative ways tend to span across the whole chain of value and require integration across external and internal business boundaries. An organizationà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s technological choices are often clarified by how they are managed. This means the planning which guides the deployment and accumulation of the technological capabilities and resources. However, no two organizations seemed to have the same way of managing their innovations and technology.Despite the increasing significance of innovation and the advantages portrayed by technological capabilities within the growth trajectory of an organization, surprisingly, little seems to be known how innovation and technology within various firms is managed. Thus, there is need for research to determine how the management of innovation and technology guides the deployment, acquisition and abandonment of various factors so as to promote the two.3.2 RESEARCH QUESTIONThe main research question is;How does the management of technology and innovation make bureaucratic and non-bureaucratic organizations effective?Supplementary questions include; How does this management ensure effectiveness when integrating new technologies and innovation in an organization? What is the difference between organizations whose technology and innovation have been managed and those that have not?3.3 RESEARCH AIMThe research aims at finding out how the management of technology and innovation can make bureaucratic and non-bureaucratic organizations effective. Also in its aims is determining how effectiveness is achieved when such new innovations and technologies are introduced in a firm. Moreover, is the aim to find out the difference between organizations whose technology and innovation ha ve been managed and those that lack such management. The literature gives a hint of the significance of various factors of an organization that promote technology and innovation within a firm. These have been incorporated in the conceptual framework along with innovation and technology.4.0 RESEARCH METHODOLOGYThe methodology utilized in this research incorporates both qualitative and quantitative methods of research. An in-depth survey methodology that is underpinned by ethnographic methods of data collection will be utilized to carry out the research coupled up by a number of group discussions. Outlined in this section is the quantitative research, qualitative research, data collection and data analysis.4.1 QUALITATIVE RESEARCHThis about the exploration of issues, the understanding of phenomena, as well as the answering of questions through analysis and making the unstructured data have some sense. Qualitative research brings about synergy among the respondents as they tend to buil d up on one anotherà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s ideas and comments. The group discussions and interview process to be done will in a dynamic nature will engage the respondents in a more active way. Research under qualitative methods will give the researcher to make observation, do recordings and make interpretations of non-verbal communications as part of the feedback by respondents. This is quite valuable during discussions or interviews or rather analysis. The opportunity to probe provided by such research method enables one as a researcher to reach beyond levels of initial responses including rationales (Kothari 17).4.2 QUANTITATIVE RESEARCHThis kind of methodology involves coming up with a structured way through which one asks respondents for their opinions so as to produce statistics and hard f...
